Hi Everyone,
Here is some information which may be useful to you and your athletes.
I have strength-weight factors for Squats, Dead lifts, and Bench Pulls; these data were generated by the national team coaches based on years of analysis and monitoring. Each class indicates the strength requirements for excellence (gold medal) at each level.
H.S.= high school
U23 = under 23
Club = senior club racing
NRT = required to make the National Rowing Team
Olympic = required to be Olympic Champion
Please keep in mind the serious endurance component required for success in a 2000m race which can last anywhere between 5min20sec to 8.00min. Both strength and endurance must me trained in-order to achieve top rowing performances.
